Study at KAM Isaiah Israel is a life-long endeavor.  Commitment to study permeates congregational life, from our Nursery School, to Religious School, to our adult education program.  Please explore all that we have to offer:

Scholarships from KAMII

Throughout the past years, members of our congregation have been generous and thoughtful, establishing scholarship funds so that future generations can attend summer camp and study in Israel.  This past summer, we were able to support three children’s camp experiences at Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute; and we have supported members of the congregation studying in Israel.

  •  The Agnes Davis Camp Scholarship Fund was established to make it possible for the rabbi to award two scholarships to OSRUI each year.
  • The Julius J. Browdy Scholarship Fund was established to enable youth to attend Jewish camps or to study in Israel.
  • The Harvey Shapiro Scholarship Fund was named for a former temple member and used for scholarship to study in Israel.
  • The William and Bernard Weinberg Scholarship supports a variety of scholarships.

Congregants who are interested in applying for a scholarship may do so by contacting the office for an application.  The application must be submitted by January 1.  The applications will be reviewed by Rabbi David Sandmel and Sandy Lieberman and a determination made by February 1.  Click here for the scholarship application.

These funds can grow with continued generosity of our members.  Contributions to these funds are a wonderful way to acknowledge a young person’s accomplishments – b’nei mitzvah, graduation, a great report card, confirmation.  Forms for contributions can be found in the tribute books; if you need more forms, please contact the office.
