Our K.A.M. family began in 1847 when Abraham Kohn wanted to provide a place for his mother to pray on Yom Kippur. Kehilat An’shei Ma’arav, the Congregation of the Men of the West, was the earliest expression of one of our six core values: k’hilah, or community.  We are celebrating 175 years of Jewish life in Chicago, a very celebratory milestone! Whether you think of KAM Isaiah Israel as your family of choice, or as a congregation or community of which you are proud to be a member, please celebrate our anniversary with us. We will celebrate our congregation in a variety of ways, with events that reflect our community's diversity and warmth.

Donate in honor of our anniversary

The 175th anniversary is an opportunity to recognize how special our congregation is with a donation. Many members of our Board of Directors have already committed to a gift. We suggest $175 or a multiple thereof to celebrate our 175th anniversary; a gift of any amount is welcome! These donations will help fund our anniversary celebrations as well as the longevity of our programming and operations.

Yes, direct my donation to the 175th anniversary!
