Award-Winning Historic Restoration
KAM Isaiah Israel’s sanctuary, a designated Chicago Landmark, was honored with a 2023 Preservation Excellence Award by the Commission on Chicago Landmarks for its extraordinary stained-glass window restoration. This work was made possible in part by a $250,000 Adopt-a-Landmark grant from the City of Chicago. The sanctuary also received a $250,000 grant from the National Fund for Sacred Places, affirming its national architectural and cultural significance.
