COVID-19 at KAM Isaiah Israel
Since the pandemic began, KAM Isaiah Israel's COVID-19 Task Force has met regularly to evaluate our policies and make changes that prioritize our community’s health, safety, and spiritual wellbeing -- and we will continue to do so.
KAM Isaiah Israel monitors the Centers for Disease and Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 Community Levels website on a weekly basis to determine if we need to resume masking or other restrictions in accordance with our COVID-19 policy.
Chicago's COVID-19 Risk Level is LOW. The wearing of masks is encouraged, but not required.
- Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines, including recommended booster doses.
- Wear a face mask in indoor public setting where vaccine status is not known
- Get tested if you have symptoms
- Follow all isolation and quarantine guidance, including wearing a face mask
- If you are at high risk for severe illness, talk to your healthcare provider about whether you need to wear a mask and take other precautions
Please continue to show respect to the various comfort levels individuals have towards wearing a mask. Some people who enter our doors may prefer to continue to wear their masks, while some are ready to remove theirs. We have a responsibility to ensure that KAM Isaiah Israel remains a place where everyone can feel comfortable as we move through this pandemic.
If we have anyone in need of a protective mask, please stop by the temple office or at one of the baskets in the lobbies (we have both youth and adult sizes available). Posters have been placed throughout the building to remind everyone that we are "masks encouraged."
A limited supply of COVID-19 rapid antigen tests are also available in the temple office for anyone who would like a test.
