HELP US WITH THE MATCH!

This grant, requires that we raise double that amount, or $500,000, which would bring the total to $750,000 for sanctuary restoration.

The grant money is reimbursement for dollars already paid for that work.  This is another reason that we must raise money internally, to allow us to pay the contractors on time for the work they are already doing.  As I also explained, the anonymous donor lending the congregation $1 million for this work has offered to match congregant donations up to $250,000 and make that amount a donation, rather than part of the loan.  This means the synagogue would not have to pay the donor back for one quarter of the loan, and, if we really raise that much, we will have met our $500,000 requirement.
