Retreat

Our annual congregational retreat—typically in January— is the highlight of the year for many attendees! Enjoy a weekend of winter fun, learning, and relaxation. Spend time with your family and others in your KAM Isaiah Israel extended family.

Each track includes joint and separate tailored programming:

  • Family track

  • Adult track

  • Teen track

Weekend highlights include:

  • Themed experiential activities and learning - Last year our theme was "The 11th Commandment" as we explored the weekend's Torah portion. This year's theme will be engaging and work for adults, children, and families.

  • Joint and separate activities for families, children, teens, and adults

  • Casual and fun interactions and Shabbat experiences with other families and clergy

  • Sledding and sports

  • Talent show - Bring your musical instrument or other talent show props!

The retreat takes place at OSRUI in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Programming takes place Friday early evening until Sunday morning. Children 1st grade and younger stay with their parents; older children stay in cabins with Shoresh staff. KAM Isaiah Israel is committed to making the retreat accessible to all families and offers financial assistance for those families who need it.

Registration

Due to COVID-19 we will not be able to gather in January, 2021 for the annual retreat. We hope to plan alternative opportunities for our community to safely come together throughout the year and return to OSRUI in 2022.
