KAMII Women's Group

The KAMII Women’s Group is for all adults in the KAM Isaiah Israel community who identify themselves as women.

The primary purpose is for women to meet new people and create community.  There are many activities that are flowing from our get-togethers and continuing to emerge from the group according to the desires and ideas of group members.  Opportunities are available to organize your own programs and events or just show up. Please fill out the form below to be added to our mailing list.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Women's Group coordinators:

Roslyn Veilleux,  Julie Volchenboum, Rosalie Fruchter and Kathy Abbott

Past Events & Projects

KAMII Women's Group Book Salon
Wednesday, August 18 at 7:30 PM on Zoom Meeting
The Women's Group will discuss Rashi's Daughters, Book I: Joheved by Maggie Anton. In 1068, the scholar Salomon ben Isaac returns home to Troyes, France, to take over the family winemaking business and embark on a path that will indelibly influence the Jewish world, writing the first Talmud commentary, and secretly teaching Talmud to his daughters.
The Women's Group has partnered with Seminary Co-op as their local vendor. You can pre-pay the book for pickup or delivery through the Seminary Co-op website, including the code KAMII in the comment box at checkout. Alternatively, starting July 16th there will be books set aside for members at the counter. There is a limited amount pre-ordered so it is a first come first serve situation. Please bear with us, we're trying this out for the first time. If you have any issues let us know so we can fix it for the next salon.

KAMII Women's Group and Shalva

Sunday, June 27 at 10:00 AM

Join KAMII, Shalva, Congregation Rodfei Zedek, and Emanuel Congregation for an important conversation about domestic abuse. Domestic abuse has no demographic boundaries, and it will take our entire community to weed it out.

We’ll learn how:

  • To recognize the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships
  • To have a caring conversation with someone who might be in an abusive relationship
  • To help our community grow healthier relationships
  • Covid-19 has affected abuse survivors
